2022 Voltage Scholars Nomination Form

The Voltage Scholars program offers the opportunity for a diverse cohort of outstanding high school students with an interest in economics to be exposed to The University of Chicago’s distinctive approach and abundant research and academic opportunities in the field. Our goal is to recruit a diverse group of students from a broad range of backgrounds in 10th grade to join us for this three-day, two-night exploratory program. More information about the Voltage Scholars Program can be found here.

High school counselors and teachers are invited to nominate as many students as they’d like. Upon being nominated, students will be contacted to complete a brief application. The most competitive students will:

·         Be excited about economics and enhancing diversity in the field

·         Receive mostly "A"s in their courses

·         Fall in the top 10% of their class (or equivalent if the school doesn't rank)

·         Have a passion for research and innovation

Educators can submit the form multiple times to nominate as many students as they'd like. Thank you for your help in identifying top students! Any questions can be directed to Lindsey Eichelman at leichelman@uchicago.edu or (773) 702-8654.
